Alternative Dispute Resolution

Often the most efficient and cost-effective method of resolving a dispute does not involve a lawsuit.  We seek to shape the dispute resolution process to meet the best interests of the client on a case-by-case basis, and are experienced in alternatives to litigation that include:

  • Mediation
  • Binding and non-binding arbitration
  • Informal settlement
  • Court-supervised settlement conferences

In addition to employing such measures on behalf of clients looking for alternative methods to resolve disputes, Douglas Tozzi is a Registered Neutral in General Mediation and Arbitration by the Georgia Supreme Court, Office of Dispute Resolution. He has experience as a mediator and as legal counsel, having participated in numerous construction and business/commercial arbitrations and mediations over the past decade.

Douglas Tozzi received his mediation training through the Fulton County court-sponsored Alternative Dispute Resolution Externship Program and the Fanning Institute at the University of Georgia. He received his arbitration training through Henning Mediation & Arbitration Service. As an extern mediator in the Fulton County Landlord-Tenant Mediation Program, Douglas Tozzi encountered a range of issues, problems and circumstances mediating small claims cases and established himself as a creative neutral who knows how to move a case toward a meaningful resolution. Douglas Tozzi is available for mediation and arbitration of every genre of civil litigation.
